Endless possibilities

Surrounded by Westerpark, De Wester, the former Transformatorhuis, stands in the middle of a vibrant centre for art, culture and entrepreneurship. This impressive industrial space, 700 m² and nearly 10 metres high, features a distinctive wooden roof structure and high windows that flood the room with natural daylight. For a more intimate setting, these windows can easily be covered with wooden shutters. The rear windows of De Wester have direct views of our iconic Gashouder.

This monumental event venue offers endless possibilities: various set-ups for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a large-scale brand activation, a catwalk fashion show, inspiring conferences and presentations or a dazzling party for up to 770 guests. De Wester can be expanded with the adjacent venues of WestWeelde (Liefde, Unie, Restuarant), creating a total space of 1530 m². Ideal for events of up to 1,900 visitors. Food Focus provides the perfect setting for events where dining together takes centre stage, such as elaborate lunches and stylish charity dinners.
Stage & Celebrate contains a professional technical setup for corporate events and festive gatherings.

Westergas as event location

Westergas has been a household name in Amsterdam for years. In 2018, the Westergasfabriek buildings were renamed Westergas. The same place, with new energy: Amsterdam’s Cultural Park. The seventeen historic buildings were each given a new purpose and are now home to creative businesses, events and festivals. These venues host a wide range of both commercial and cultural events.
