This impressive industrial space, 700 m² and nearly 10 metres high, features a distinctive wooden roof structure and high windows that flood the room with natural daylight, or can be darkened via wooden shutters. This allows De Wester to shift effortlessly from a softly lit photoshoot location to a fully equipped filming venue for corporate videos, commercials, or promotional films.

That’s why we offer an attractive last-minute rental rate for dry-hire use.
You’ll have access to the same high-quality industrial warehouse photoshoot location (regular rate € 8,600), but at a rate suitable for smaller photo or film production budgets.

Is De Wester suitable for film shoots involving props or vehicles?

Absolutely. Thanks to its large industrial doors and load-bearing floor, heavy objects and cars can be driven inside easily. De Wester has even served as the stage for special productions, including the anniversary celebration of the Porsche 911.

Is there parking available for cast, crew, and equipment?

Yes. Loading and unloading are possible directly at the venue. There are several parking options nearby. You can book affordable spaces at Q-Park or arrange parking for all your guests as part of a private event setup. Mobian also offers flexible mobility solutions, combining parking with (e-)bikes, taxis, or public transport. By choosing Mobian parking at Q-Park, you also support the Westergas Foundation.

Can you arrange catering and crew facilities during a photoshoot?

Yes, absolutely. We work with four trusted catering partners, each with their own style, but all aligned with the Westergas philosophy.

We’re happy to advise you on the best fit for your production, or you can choose your preferred caterer yourself.

Can De Wester be used simultaneously as an event and filming location?

Yes, that’s possible. The venue can be divided into separate sections, allowing production and event activities to take place at the same time. De Wester can also be expanded with the adjacent WestWeelde spaces, creating a combined area of 1,530 m² for larger or hybrid productions.

How are privacy and exclusivity arranged for commercial productions?

De Wester is a closed-off venue that is not accessible to the public when privacy is required. The interior cannot be viewed from outside. In addition, the site is secured 24/7, with a gate attendant stationed at the entrance on the Westergas Bridge. Several security cameras throughout the area also ensure continuous monitoring.
